About Jessica
I am a professional actress, musical theatre performer, a certified Classical Mat and Reformer Pilates instructor. I’m also the proud founder of On The Mat Fitness, where I combine my passion for movement with a love of helping others feel their best, both physically and mentally.

My journey with Pilates began a few years ago when I was looking for a fun way to stay fit and strong between performing contracts. From my very first class, I was hooked! Pilates quickly became more than just a workout; it became a way to connect with my body, build strength, and find balance in my life. Inspired by its transformative power, I decided to deepen my knowledge and become a qualified instructor.
When the pandemic hit and getting into a studio became impossible, I continued my Pilates studies at home. It was during this time that I brought On The Mat Fitness to life. Offering live and pre-recorded classes, I was able to share my passion with others, creating a supportive community when we needed it the most. Starting my own business during such a challenging time was a leap of faith, but it’s been incredible to watch it grow and thrive.

In 2020, I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, a life-changing moment that came with its own set of challenges. But I’m a firm believer that diabetes doesn’t define me – or limit me. While there are tough days when things don’t go as planned, there are also days when I feel unstoppable. My diagnosis has taught me resilience and the importance of listening to my body, and I’m proud to say that I can do everything I did before – and more!

At On The Mat Fitness, mental health and well-being are at the heart of everything we do. I understand that some days don’t always go as planned, and that's okay. Pilates is more than just exercise – it’s about moving your body, connecting with yourself, and embracing who you are. I believe the key to living a fulfilled life is consistency, not perfection. My goal is to help you feel stronger, more balanced, and in tune with yourself, no matter where you are on your fitness journey.

Remember, your greatest responsibility is to love yourself and know that you are enough. I can’t wait to help you discover the power of Pilates and the positive impact it can have on your mind and body.
